LAS
VEGAS, NV (July 2001) - Blue Man Group is a theatrical performance
featuring three bald and blue characters that take audiences
on a journey that is funny, intelligent, and visually stunning.
The critically acclaimed Blue Man Group will kick off the
festivities for the WSA Shoe
Show on Sunday evening, February 10, 2002.
As
the party begins on the opening night of the WSA Show, the
crowd will be in for a visual spectacle as the Blue Man Group
lights up the stage in its regular performance venue, the
1,200 seat Luxor Theater at the striking Luxor Hotel.
In
1987 three long-time friends, Matt Goldman, Phil Stanton,
and Chris Wink founded Blue Man Group, an offbeat mime act.
Following the success of the initial New York show in 1991,
Blue Man Group opened equally successful productions in Boston
(1995) and Chicago (1997). All three shows continue to play
to sold-out audiences. In March 2000, Blue Man Group opened
its largest production to date at the state-of-the-art Luxor
Theatre in Las Vegas.
