WSA NAMES DAVE DARLING NEW PRESIDENT
Dave
Darling was named President of World Shoe Association (WSA) and
began serving his one-year term during the December Board of Directors
meeting. The nomination of Darling to the top spot comes as WSA
prepares for its February 2001 market in Las Vegas. Previously the
organization's vice-president, Darling will oversee the show's next
two markets in 2001 and other member-related activities and issues.
Darling succeeds Mark Edwards, who becomes chairman.
Other
newly elected WSA board members are Mitch Fisherman as Secretary,
David Duncan as Treasurer and Ken Mazur as Vice-president. Dan
Singer and Kim Kenson were both elected as new members of the
Board of Directors.
Additionally,
Hal Bloom, former WSA President. is retiring after a productive
nine-year stint on the Board.
