This
August, comedian and entertainer, Jerry Seinfeld will kick off
the festivities for the WSA Shoe Show at its Opening Night Event.
The WSA audience will experience an evening of laughs with all
new material from his stand-up act currently being performed across
the country.
Jerry
Seinfeld, of the hit NBC Television series
"Seinfeld" had nine, extraordinary successful
years entertaining millions.
Straight from college graduation to an amateur night try-out at
NY's "Catch a Rising Star", Jerry performed in local
clubs until his career was boosted by an appearance on a Rodney
Dangerfield HBO Special in 1976. His stand-up career took off
after his first successful spot on Carson's Tonight Show in 1981,
at age 27.
Along
with his current stand-up performances across the U.S., Seinfeld
can also be seen in the film "Comedian", a documentary
about stand-up comedy which he filmed over several years with
filmmakers Gary Streiner and Christian Charles.
As
with all previous WSA Opening Night Events, Seinfeld will undoubtedly
be entertaining a full house on July 31, 2003. Entertainment for
the events have included Stevie Nicks, The Temptations. Tom Jones,
Chicago, comedian Jay Leno, Glenn Frey of the Eagles and Crosby,
Stills & Nash. Most recently entertainers have included comedy
superstar Robin Williams and musician Sheryl Crow.
Past
WSA events have utilized other existing Vegas hotel shows including
Cirque Du Soleil's Mystere at Treasure Island, O at the Bellagio,
Hilton's Starlight Express and Blue Man Group at the Luxor Hotel.
