LAS
VEGAS, NV (February
2002) - On
the heels of a successfully expanded February trade market, World
Shoe Association (WSA), organizers of the largest footwear show
in the U.S., announced that the August 2002 trade market will return
to a four-day show, with exhibition booths at both the Sands Expo
Convention Center and the Las Vegas Convention Center.
Show
hours will return to Thursdays from 8:30am-6:00pm, Friday and Saturday
9am - 6pm and Sunday from 9am - 4pm.
The
August show will take place on two levels of the Sands Expo Center,
suites at the Venetian Hotel and the Las Vegas Convention Center's
S-1 Hall, the lower level of the convention center's brand new construction.
According
to Chris Aiken, executive director of WSA, the two venue show is
expected to once again run smoothly. "We expanded to the Las
Vegas Convention Center in February," said Aiken, "It
was an exciting opportunity to grow the show." The addition
of the space at the Las Vegas Convention Center has added more than
100,000 square feet to what is now the largest footwear show in
the US.
