Dear
WSA Members and Attendees,
Welcome
to the February 2001 show with over one million square feet of footwear.
Now the largest shoe show in the U.S., World Shoe Association
has created four days of excitement that includes a complimentary
Networking Party (Friday in the Venetian Hotel Ballroom), the entertainment
of Glenn Frey (at The Hard Rock Hotel), high end brands at the Crowne
Plaza, fashion trends and financial seminars, and a show floor filled
with over 2500 of the hottest brands in the business.

This is the market where the footwear industry will make
a commitment to the fashion trends for Fall 2001.
And while we are here choosing the shoes the world will wear,
lets also make a commitment to a different industry the one that
give back and supports those in need.

Although the primary goal of WSA, and its Board
of Directors, has been to provide an interesting and exciting
forum for our industry to conduct business, one of our most important
missions is to provide assistance, support and encouragement for
our fellow members and industry friends.
In addition to providing financial aid to those in need,
shoes for underprivileged children and scholarships for education,
WSA is committed to and endows the many activities of the Two/Ten
Foundation, our industrys charitable organization.

While your participation in our association makes you a part
of these activities, I urge you to take additional steps.
I have found that these acts are not just about giving to
others; they also help to create meaning in our own lives.

As we enter a new year, let us join together to create not
just inspirational fashions, but inspirational lives as well.
Sincerely,
Dave
Darling
President
